A passionate and innovative author, educator, and mindful humanitarian, Eboné M. Lockett received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in English from Fairfield University. Never imagining a career in education, she joined the Hartford, CT Teaching Fellows pilot program in 2001. She saw her 2-year commitment as a way to honor the inspiring educators who poured much into her and to honor her personal responsibility to humanity. From the moment she joined the ranks as an Educational Practitioner, her passion for teaching and leading was lit, and it shows no sign of dimming. Subsequently, Eboné earned a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Central Connecticut State University with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. She has taught Secondary English Language Arts, Humanities, and life skills for over 22 years, originally in Hartford, CT and for the past 16 years in classrooms, boardrooms, and communities across the state of NC and across the country and globe. Three-time-consecutive recipient of the Charlotte Hornets Teacher Innovation Grant, Winner of an Arts and Science Council Cato Excellence in Teaching Award, and Qatar teacher travel grant recipient are among the many recognitions and titles awarded in attribution of Mrs. Lockett's innovative and agile teaching, training and facilitation techniques. Creator of Culturally Responsive Curricula and impactful experiential learning, Eboné applies her pedagogy and love for literacy, learning, and servant-leadership to excel as a Solutionary in the classroom and in her local, national, and global communities.
Currently, Eboné serves as the CEO and Principal Consultant of Harvesting Humanity, LLC (a company she founded in December, 2018). Harvesting Humanity is a full service educational and social enterprise engaging, preparing, and positioning local, national, and global "Solutionaries" via a holistically-integrated Science, Technology, Reading and Writing, Engineering, Arts, Architecture, Agriculture and Mathematics (S.T.R.E.A.A.A.M ©) experiential, service-learning model.
